Quick & Easy Guide for How to Edit a WordPress Page

So you have a new WordPress website and now you want to edit the content on the page.  Here you’ll find a quick guide to editing content on a wordpress page that uses the Fusion Page Builder.

1.  Once you’ve logged into your WordPress Dashboard – Click Pages
…and in case you’ve forgotten how to login:  yourwebsitename.com/wp-admin

 

 

 


How to edit a wordpress page with fusion page builder2.  If you do not see the page you want to edit, use the Search Box to find it.
Note:  Look at the url of the page you want to change.  That will tell you the name of the page.

Ex:  Marina.com/gate-repair (In this instance, the page name will be “gate repair”)

 


How to edit a wordpress page with fusion page builder3.  When the page opens, be patient and give your Fusion Options a moment to load so you can edit your WordPress page.  Once all items have populated onto the page.  Scroll down to the area on your page that you would like to edit.  Hover mouse over the box and click the pencil icon button to edit.

Note:  Be sure to click the pencil icon of your content box and not the pencil icon of the layout header box it sits inside.

 

 

 


 

How to edit a wordpress page with fusion page builder4.  Your Text/any Content box will open for you to make your edits.  In this picture, your content box is called “Checklist”; your box may have only text.  When done, be sure to hit the SAVE button.

Note:  Your content is saved but your page is not saved yet.

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

How to edit a wordpress page with fusion page builder5.  To save your page, scroll up to the top and click the UPDATE button in the Publish section located top right of your page’s dashboard. Congratulations, Your Done!

Note:  Now check your work.  Click View Page at the top of your dashboard and look at your site live.  If at anytime you do not see your changed, refresh your browser.  If you still do not see changes, go back into the dashboard of your page to make sure you first saved the content box.  If you’re content box was saved, click the UPDATE button again (you may have lost internet conncetion in your process to edit)
